Cassie Brace is a very young and talented reborn and sculpting artist based in the UK. She has been attached to this wonderful world of reborning for the last 11 years. Cassie started as a complete novice and spent a few years reborning prototypes for a number of sculpting artists before beginning to move on playing clay.
Cassie Brace spent 3 years teaching herself to sculpt and learning how the clay behaves before producing her first doll kit, Hattie, in 2012. Since then, she has gone to reproduce a big variety of doll kits, having both, limited and open editions. Cassie has a great passion for sculpting babies and that is the reason why she is currently only focusing on sculpting work.
Besides being a brilliant artist, Carrie has also helped and inspired other artists to excel in this difficult art by sharing her experiences and knowledge through her 4 tutorial DVDs. The “Precious Little Baby Dust” DVDs, released in 2010, have been a successful learning tool and become some of the best-selling tutorial DVDs within the reborning industry. She also produced another tutorial DVD “I Art Ultra Newborns” which was equally another huge success.
Carrie Brace has strict criteria for choosing her prototype artists. She is quite demanding in every step of creation, from the reborning process till producing different photographs with props. She encourages her prototype artists to interpret her sculpt the way they consider it best, allowing them to make their own choices on the different treats and features of the baby, such as eye colour, skin tones, hair colour and photography. For her, a successful reborn doll needs to be made with lots of care and love from, both, the sculpt artist and its reborner.
